Calabria 2013 - Trap Style Remix of the Classic

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - June 12, 2013 - PRLog -- "Calabria 2013 (Trap Remix)" by The Program.

South Jersey natives "The Program" released a new Trap style EDM version of the classic dance track "Calabria". Originally released by Rune and later remixed by Enur (sampled in this version) and Mims, as well as numerous others since the original release. The song is clearly a dance track. It features hard hitting bass, hip-hop style drum sounds, with ambience and a focus on being minimalistic. This is definitely a track to move your body to.

With Atlantic City being as such a pillar in the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) scene, you would imagine there to be a flock of Producers & DJs from the area getting a lot of exposure. Although the residents will tell you that every one and their mother is a "DJ" now-a-days, there seems to be a lack of electronic music creation in this area.

There is, however, a production duo out of an area slightly closer to Philadelphia but still in the heart of South Jersey. EDM has become a way of life for people in this general area, with the the easy access to Atlantic City, Philadelphia and New York clubs and venues. And these two specific residents just so happen to live less than a mile from the Atlantic City Expressway, so access to the raging nightlife became available at a young age.

The Program consists of Eric Boss (eBoss) and Scott Tennett (ST!XX). Both grew up in an era and an area where Hip-Hop ran rapid, so the influence is hard to escape. "When I was in High School I feel like everyone I knew that listen to hip-hop tried to rap. It's great for the culture but was horrible for me trying to actually be an emcee.." commented Boss when I sat down with them for a short interview during a production session with the two. Eric started as a rapper and eventually moved on to production but will stil lay a verse down here and there. "The style of music we are making now (Trap) is perfect to rap on..." chimed in Tennett.
