Turtle Shell Industries awarded a federal patent for server shield

NEW YORK - May 27, 2013 - PRLog -- TURTLE SHELL INDUSTRIES IS AWARDED A FEDERAL PATENT FOR SERVER SHIELD

(New York, NY, March 24, 2013)-Turtle Shell Industries has developed proven water protection technology over the past four years to protect critical systems.  Turtle Shell was awarded a patent for its Server Shield in February 2013.

Turtle Shell® provides critical systems protection from water and debris. The modular system is constructed of a lightweight frame and waterproof shell. The shells can be connected together to provide continuous coverage for any length of cabinet rows. Standard shells provide ample overhang on both sides of a 36-inch cabinet. Custom shells can be fabricated to any width or arc depending on the location, ceiling heights, heat dissipation requirements and existing services (conduits, fiber troughs, cable racks, etc). In locations with existing services, the shells are penetrated and sealed to prevent water leaks around the services. Shells also come with manual pull down curtains, which are deployed when water infiltration occurs. A motorized curtain option is available for un-manned locations.  

The Turtle Shell is extremely versatile and works in almost any application.  The product has had tremendous success and has strengthened business continuity plans for industries across the globe.  Data Centers, Government, Schools, Hospitals and private business, owners, IT professionals and facility personnel are thinking about redundancy using back-up servers in order to provide un-interrupted service throughout a disaster.  Turtle Shell is on the forefront of reducing the need for costly back-up equipment, real estate to house the equipment, HVAC costs and personnel to monitor and service additional locations.
