Virgin Atlantic to speak at next CTC Open Day 25 May 2013

Virgin’s Head of Aircraft Operations, Captain Jeremy Burrows & Senior First Officer Andree Hill, Flight Crew Manager Airbus will deliver a joint presentation during both the morning & afternoon sessions of CTC’s second of four open days in 2013.

SOUTHAMPTON, U.K. - May 2, 2013 - PRLog -- “We are really delighted that the Virgin team will be joining us for CTC’s next open day.  People are always intrigued by the Virgin brand and having Jeremy and Andree to speak offers a great opportunity for aspiring pilots to hear more about Virgin’s airline operations.  The recent launch of ‘Little Red’ will no doubt also be a focus for questions - said Karen Bath, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing Services for CTC Aviation Group Limited.
“At CTC we are very keen to encourage more female applicants.  At the moment the industry average is c10% and we are really chuffed to be beating that with 12% of our current CTC Wings trainees being ladies.  We also heard recently that 15% of this year’s BAFPP successful applicants were ladies, so there is a clear upward trend which is great news.  We hope that Andree’s talk will inspire even more future female pilots.”
Karen adds - “Whilst we ask you to register to attend either a morning or afternoon presentation so that we can manage the numbers, we suggest you spend the full day with us.  It’s a great opportunity to ‘meet the experts’ and ask questions of our directors, senior managers and cadets in training with us, as well as our pilot selection and training teams.  Our Partner Airlines are very supportive of these events and pilots from Monarch Airlines, British Airways, Flybe and easyJet will all be present to talk about their own training and working experiences.  It’s also possible to hear from a representative from the BBVA about the funding the bank can provide to successful CTC Wings applicants.”
CTC continues to recruit high calibre applicants for its various airline cadet programmes worldwide as well as their much acclaimed CTC Wings programme. Seventeen ‘Partner Airlines’ around the world have formally approved CTC Wings as a preferred route for their new entrant pilots and the programme currently supports over 300 new pilot opportunities to CTC cadets annually.  CTC recently announced the launch of the ‘CTC Wings International Pilot Programme’ (IPP) which opens up an opportunity for applicants from around the world to benefit from CTC’s highly respected, airline-focused training and the company’s flagship ‘CTC Wings Cadet’ route continues to offer graduate pilots the very best placement opportunities.  As the global need for new pilots becomes greater, there has possibly never been a better time to commence flight training.
Applications to CTC Wings are accepted year-round and the company has regular selection events in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand. CTC will also be hosting open days on 10 August and 2 November this year.
