Follow on Google News | Iron Man 3 does Wing Chun Kung Fu!Downey Jnr is so passionate about his Wing Chun training that he has incorporated one of the training aids, the Wing Chun dummy, into the opening scene of the new movie and even his Sifu (Kung Fu teacher) has been given a part. Sifu Chris Saunders, Chief Instructor at Worthing Kung Fu School explains, “The wooden dummy which is used to practice the moves of our Kung Fu system is seen in Tony Stark’s workshop as he develops the latest Iron Man suit. Robert Downey Jnr has been a great advocate of the style and although he trains in a different discipline, the concepts and principles are the same.” Andy Cave, has been training with Worthing Kung Fu School now for 3 years and thoroughly enjoys the classes. He says, “I’ve been encouraged all the way! It’s such a friendly environment but also a learning one. Every student I have the pleasure of training with improves daily, and my confidence has grown hugely.” Wing Chun Kung Fu is a self defence system originating from China and was invented by a woman to use the attackers momentum and power against them. This makes it extremely effective and ideal for men and women of all ages and abilities. Children as young as 4 can join the school and learn in a fun, age appropriate way. Students of every age learn practical techniques from their very first lesson in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and see fast results. Classes take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and anyone interested in trying a free taster session should contact Worthing Kung Fu School on 08000 199343 at www.teachmekungfu.com direct for further details.
