BBS, Inc. Boston Volunteers with Autism Speaks and Special Olympics

WOBURN, Mass. - April 23, 2013 - PRLog -- BU Student Athletes hosted Autism Speaks and Special Olympics Sports Clinics!

On Sunday, April 21st 2013, BBS, Inc. Boston, a sales and marketing company in Woburn MA, volunteered at an Autism Speaks and Special Olympics event held at Boston University.

BBS Inc. employees partnered with Boston University student athletes on their BU Global Day of Service. At Boston University’s Case gym student athletes and volunteers joined together to help children with Autism and special needs participate in a sports clinic.  There were events ranging from Basketball, Soccer, Floor Hockey, and Tennis to Agility testing. There was also a station where the children could get face painting and temporary tattoos. Towards the end of the event the BU dance team put on a very entertaining performance for the group.  After the day of activities all participants and volunteers enjoyed a pizza party.  

When asked about his experience, BBS employee, Joseph Stuart remarked, “The Autism Speaks and Special Olympics event was an awesome experience for me as a person because it opened my eyes to a condition that I had previously seen very little of. The joy that the event brought to the kids involved made every second of being there worth it.”

“In my opinion, the fact that our employees volunteer their free time to attend an event like the BU Global Day of Service Sports Clinic and without any hesitation speaks for itself. As a company we truly enjoy any opportunity to get involved with both local and international organizations whose initiative we support. Sunday was a great experience for all of us and we look forward to attending more events in the future,” exclaimed one BBS Manager.
