Deen said that the most important key point in project management, whether onsite or remotely, is communications. Knowing the team’s insights, problems and progress is critical to know where the project stands.

In managing remote teams, it is always important to get their bonds stronger, proposing a team building activity would be a good step to get their camaraderie stand still. To make the Teams between foreign places like California, Australia, New Zealand etc have the same fun, Deen recommended a fun online webinar.

Another thing that should get things going would be via phone conferencing. This makes the team members at ease with each other. Asking and following on everyone’s ideas would be a great step too.
