Follow on Google News | Only 5 More Countries To Go For 6 Year Old "Restaurant Love Story" Indie Movie"Did I Say Thousand Island?" needs only 5 more countries, and it will have been seen in every country on the planet. Recent additions of 2 countries within 2 weeks creates curiosity for filmmaker.
By: Remake 4 Water As was previously mentioned in a press release here in PRLog on October 16, 2012, depending on what site you look at, there are anywhere from 193 to 196 countries in the world. "We'll go with 196, and these last countries to see the movie are probably some tiny island country in the middle of an ocean where the internet is rare," DiVita says, "so it's pretty wonderful that they are getting the chance to see the movie." "Despite the fact that it's set in the restaurant industry, it really does apply to anyone." she says. "After the premier in Colorado in January of 2007, two people came up to me and said, 'Hey Patti, thanks for making a movie about me.' and they weren't even in the restaurant industry. It's about people and relationships." DiVita has been on a mission for a couple of years to get the movie remade by "Hollywood" and be used as a benefit movie to raise funds and awareness for water. "I contacted the celebrities who have water as a cause, and received some responses, but nothing concrete yet. I stepped away for a while, and published my book, but am definitely not ever going to give up." DiVita states. "I contacted the webmaster of one of the Torrent sites that lists "Did I Say Thousand Island?" which has statistics about downloads, and asked about the numbers. They said yes, the numbers indicate how many people are downloading the movie at any given time. I had been watching them for months, and hundreds of thousands of people have been watching this love story set in the restaurant industry, and they keep telling others about it." DiVita relates. "They say that cable stations are constantly looking for content to put on their stations, and people have told me that I should have charged for the download, but I never set out to make money with this movie, I just wanted to show servers as the fun and smart people they are, and that it's an occupation that can be respected. Seeing how this movie has been seen all over the world, there must be something about it." DiVita says. It happened to Meet The Parents. A remake that is. It took 10 years for Hollywood to find that movie. DiVita says, "I'm patient. I will not ever give up. And the idea of a benefit movie has happened before, so this can too. People can't help but be curious about remakes, and with "Did I Say Thousand Island?", it's already been seen all over the world, so that will help when it's remade. The fact that it will benefit people in some of those remote countries is good too." Visit http//:www.remake4water.org for information. "They remade "Titanic", a few times, and that last one was one of the most successful movies of all times. Did people think the ship wouldn't sink?" DiVita asks with a laugh. "People want to see what Hollywood will do with any remake, and with "Did I Say Thousand Island?" it will be a help to many people in more ways than one." End
