HIGH RIVER, Alberta - Dec. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- "We did it!" exclaims Patti DiVita, the creator of "Did I Say Thousand Island?"  the positive restaurant movie that premiered in Colorado in January of 2007. "We have literally been seen all over the world. Now we have to complete the mission of a remake to help others." (Mininova is the main torrent site tracking countries where any torrent is downloaded and there are other torrent sites where the movie is available.)

The mission of Remake 4 Water is to bring water awareness to people who have water, and to raise funds to bring water to those who lack clean water and sanitation. It started a few years ago after DiVita had been told repeatedly that she should remake her low budget indie film so more people could enjoy it. "But I don't want to be a film maker, and never did. This just came to me and I did it, with the help of many people and definitely with the help of God." she says with a smile.

DiVita had stepped away from the research and education and meetings about the water situation or crisis as many people call it, and has been doing what she has always wanted to do: drive a semi-truck. She enjoys it, but feels that the water mission is where her heart really is and will never stop the project. "I knew that we were in more countries than Oprah, but now that we have officially been seen in every country in the world, I think "Did I Say Thousand Island?" is even more marketable to the right people who have the means and desire to remake it."

"The niche market is huge because everyone goes out to eat, and you will see yourself up on the screen, somewhere in the movie. Many people have said to me--'I do that!'." DiVita says. But even if you count the restaurant industry alone, the National Restaurant Association of America states: Restaurant-industry employment is now 13.1 million employees strong, and expected to increase 9.8 percent to 14.4 million by 2023. One in three adults in America got their first job experience in a restaurant. And while total U.S. employment grew only 1.5 percent in 2012, restaurant industry employment grew 2.4 percent, making 2012 as the 13th consecutive year that the restaurant industry has outperformed overall U.S. employment growth.

"Restaurants are a huge market but I think Hollywood continues to miss out on another huge market: Baby Boomers. It seems that everything is made for young people with all the high speed action and computer generated movies, but the older generation still likes to see movies and enjoys a good story. My generation, and even my 88 year old friend who shows my movie to all his friends, say they love it. But the funny thing is that this movie appeals to the young people too as they are the ones who generally use torrent sites to watch movies. I think this movie will be very popular when it's remade. It just has to keep the element that makes people still spread the word about it almost 8 years after it was put on the internet." DiVita states.

DiVita is aware that the number of "likes" on Facebook and followers on other social sites are low but she is not concerned. "I was burned out by being on the computer so much with research that I stopped being on Facebook and others, but I don't think those things matter at this point because when it gets remade with famous people, the word about it will spread. The original "Meet The Parents" was made exactly like my movie and even though it was made before all the social media sites, the remake was extremely popular. Why? Because almost everyone can relate to the story line and subject matter, and it's the same with my movie." she says.

The world is changing, and a movie that will help others would add the philanthropic element that seems to be growing in the business world, and to come from Hollywood would have even more impact. When DiVita first started her project, the popular website: "Look To The Stars" which lists celebrities who are involved with various causes, stated there were 173 celebs who were involved with water. Today the number is 258 and continues to grow. She is hopeful about the remake and continues to tell everyone about the movie, until the right people see it at the right time and will make it happen.
