Boral TruExterior® Beadboard stands out for its superior dimensional stability and durability, as it outperforms competing products with its exceptional resistance to temperature changes and moisture levels. Boral TruExterior® Beadboard is the ideal alternative to traditional trim products, as it is comparable in weight to wood, but requires less maintenance and upkeep. This poly-ash product is offered in a finish of primed white and once installed and painted, it closely resembles wood beadboard. Yet, due to its unique composition – which includes a minimum of 70% recycled materials – it is not plagued by issues such as rotting, splitting and termites that commonly affect wood.

A blend of proprietary polymers and fly ash comprise Boral TruExterior® Beadboard, making for a remarkable trim product that is both sustainable and durable. Manufactured without the use of wood fillers or PVC material, it is virtually impervious to drastic temperature change, unlike wood products whose constant moisture cycling make them more prone to deterioration. This poly-ash beadboard absorbs essentially no moisture, resulting in a high level of dimensional stability. As such, this resilient option is perfect for soffit application.

Boral TruExterior® Beadboard is also ideal for porch ceiling application, wainscoting and other non-structural wall and door details, given its excellent workability, versatility and ease of installation. A reversible product, this beadboard product offers both a traditional “edge & center bead” profile and a “V-Groove” appearance. The product installs in courses using panels measuring 5/8” thick x 5¼” wide x 16' long. They interlock with a tongue and groove system, which results in an aesthetic free of visible fasteners. Unlike other man-made versions, this trim product can be installed parallel to the house. In addition, it can span 24” between fasteners without the need for additional backing or added support, which facilitates the installation process. End sealing, priming, and special adhesives are not needed for installation of this beadboard.
