DBS wins another Best in Class award

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 20, 2013 - LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville, KY (March 20th, 2013) - The Interactive Media Council has awarded DBS>Interactive a second Best in Class award for 2012. The DBS team won Best in Class in the Nonprofit category for the design of the St. James Court Art Show mobile site (www.stjamescourtartshow.com)

Organizers of the St. James Court Art Show asked DBS>Interactive to overhaul its website, so we created a responsive site viewable on a variety of devices, including tablets and phones. We also created a unique mobile site that integrated GPS mapping, which allowed visitors at the show to pinpoint individual artists’ locations and learn more about each one.

The revamped website featured information about the nearly 300 artists taking part in the show, as well as a searchable database that listed artists by booth location or the artists’ medium.

The judges of the Interactive Media Awards panel awarded DBS 488 points out of a possible 500. The site was judged on 5 categories: Design, Content, Feature Functionality, Usability and Standards Compliance and Cross-Browser Compatibility. The judges awarded a perfect score of 100 points for Feature Functionality.

DBS>Interactive’s St. James Court Art Show entry was one of 239 entries submitted in the Nonprofit category.
