Orso Major at the Startup Showcase, Somerset House, London March 2013

LONDON - March 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Orso Major is an online contemporary art gallery showcasing beautiful and collectible art.

Founder, Gita Joshi says “We are really excited to be part of the Showcase for Creative Startups at Somerset House and sit alongside some really interesting businesses.  The Showcase gives us the opportunity to reach audiences directly and gain valuable feedback in order to build the business.  I am thrilled to be able to display some of the art we have on the website and give people the opportunity to see and buy some of the amazing art we have to offer”

The website and the display at the Showcase features artists whose work has been hand picked by our team for its appeal to a wide audience and its collectibility.  At the Startup Showcase at Somerset House, 23 & 24 March 2013, the gallery will be presenting work by Riccardo Ajossa, Phil Hankinson, Kim Lucas and Charles Patey.  

Orso Major was founded in order to bring the work of artists whose work we felt needed to be seen and brought before wider audiences.  Alongside the online art gallery, Orso Major mounts exhibitions in business spaces giving companies the opportunity to have changing exhibitions in their meeting rooms, reception areas and public spaces. It is a simple way for businesses to support the arts, and at the same time display fresh and exciting art to be enjoyed by their staff, guests and visitors.

Experienced in identifying talented artists early in their career, with Orso Major a business can exhibit works ahead of the curve. Over time they will be able to see the rising success of these artists and know that with Orso Major they were part of that journey.

About the owner:

Gita Joshi has an art history background and trained in curating. She has worked at Royal Commissions, architects practices, galleries and at various Fortune100 companies.  As a collector she has been known to be an early advocate of artists who have gone on to win major awards and accolades.  Orso Major was created to share this experience with clients and customers.
