FACE Africa to host 4th Annual Benefit Gala for Clean Water

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 8, 2013 - In commemoration of United Nations World Water Day, FACE Africa is hosting its fourth annual clean water benefit gala on Saturday, March 23rd at Espace New York. FACE Africa is a grassroots nonprofit organization that provides access to safe drinking water to poor, under-served communities in rural Liberia.

The evening will feature a cocktail reception, art auction hosted by Aroza Arts, hosted bar, award presentation and live music. Proceeds from this year’s gala will support the organization’s recently launched County-by-County initiative to build 250 clean water points in RiverCess County, one of Liberia’s poorest and most marginalized counties. Once completed, the program will benefit over 60,000 residents.

This year's event will focus on highlighting FACE Africa’s work and the impact they are having in Liberia. It is also an opportunity for the organization to thank its community of supporters. During the event, special awards will be presented to key supporters including Lauren States, Kara Gerson, Kevin McGovern, Dr. Muri Raifu, Evan Kaela, Marie Douglas, Oluchi Orlandi, Joseph Wolf, Martin Segal and Quddus Phillipe.
