Lifetime American Farmer Exposes Disturbing Finds on Farms Using GMO Feed and Growing GMO Crops

Howard Vlieger still lives on the farm where he was born. After noticing changes in farm animal health, his investigations lead to disturbing discoveries. Howard and two moms that fought long costly battles for their child's health share stories.

Feb. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Clear farmer evidence that the internal organs of animals fed GMO foods were not normal and visibly different compared to the internal organs of farm animals that were NOT fed any GMO food is one of the many weird and freakish phenomenon that Howard Vlieger found himself witnessing for the first time.   Howard is a lifetime American farmer and still lives on the same farm where he was born.  Who better to detect a change in the health and behavior of farm animals and crops.  He knew what he found was significant and has been sharing his presentation on his findings with groups around the country.

In addition to teaching everyday folks about farming, Howard is teaching farmers about farming.  The kind of farming skill where you work with the land and the cycles of nature.  Farmers learn how to be self sufficient, save seeds, and produce their own fertilizer so large amounts of expensive supplies don’t have to be shipped in to their farm.

The core of what Howard does in his work with other farms is to, “help heal soil that has been starved, and forced into a dependency of petroleum based chemical fertilizers, genetically modified seeds, and a continuous application of Monsanto Round Up Ready pesticide, herbicides, and a long list of other toxic chemicals in between.”

New pesticides are being approved all the time, and will always be just a “fix” and not a “solution.” Howard Vlieger looks for solutions and ways for farms to be able to function independently of GMOs and not be forced to apply pesticides for seeds to grow.

Many factors hold farmers back from being able to transition away from a dependence on GMOs and pesticides. After years of pesticide application soil is weak.  Insects detect the inferior crops and come in groves to eliminate them.  All of the microbial defenses nature puts in the soil; large populations of beneficial insects that kill harmful insects, and a strong plant and soil immune system thanks to high soil nutritional bioavailability have been wiped out from toxic pesticide application.

Another big factor that holds farmers back from transitioning away from GMOs is the price and availability of Non GMO seed.  Monsanto’s acquisition of the worlds largest farm seed company, Seminis, along with a long list of other seed company acquisitions makes them the biggest seed company owner in the world and gives them the power to control supply, price, and availability of Non GMO seeds.

GMO seeds require the use of pesticides so there is no getting away from them.  Some pesticides and herbicides according to farmer Howard Vlieger in an interview with Smart Health Talk Host Elaine McFadden actually, “Cancel each other out.”

A small statement that packs a significant environmental and financial cost both to the farmer and the consumer.  Are farmers blindly applying a pesticide to crops, and then soon after applying an herbicide to those crops not realizing that by applying the herbicide, the effectiveness and killing action of the pesticide has now been canceled out?  That wastes money, cannibalizes farmer profit, and unnecessarily dumps toxic poisons on land and food.

Howard’s presentation is really hitting home with consumers and farmers.  Consumers that have been spending thousands of dollars trying to find out why no allergy treatment is working to stop their child or personal suffering. Farmers face losing their farm.  They hear what Howard has to say, and unanswered questions begin to make sense.

Howard's curiosity came out of a situation where he had both a Non GMO and GMO corn choice out for his farm animals.  He noticed they ate all the Non GMO corn and didn't even touch the GMO corn.  Howard talked to other farmers that had done the same Non GMO/GMO corn comparison and found out they also got the same results, animals always choose Non GMO over GMO food.  They know which is which.

After examining the internal organs of farm animals that ate strictly a GMO diet Howard began to understand why they didn’t want to eat GMO food even when there was nothing else.   The results were clear.  The differences between a Non GMO fed animal with a white appearance after slaughter and skinning, was a complete contrast to the yellowish color of the GMO animal.  Examination of gut organs also showed large differences in color and texture of tissue with the GMO fed animals showing multiple ulcerations.  Indications from appearance was that organs were in a constant state of inflammation, one of the most destructive states and something we should all strive to avoid as much as possible.

Howard’s curiosity got stronger.  He started examining soil after it has been subjected to large applications of Round Up Ready pesticide and other toxic chemicals such as herbicides year after year.  What he found was alarming.

Microbial systems had been wiped out.  Those systems are the very source for manufacturing all kinds of nutrition in soil, including critical trace minerals that is taken up by the plant and transferred to the food.

Without those microbial system in place, the only source of nutrition comes from the Monsanto petroleum based chemical fertilizers.  Where a healthy organic soil can contain hundreds of nutrients, petroleum based fertilizers only contain a handful.   Soil starts to take on a “dead” appearance and is no longer able to hold water.

High concentrations of organic matter are needed to hold water in place so the plant has a chance to absorb before it drains away.   Without the organic matter in soil, millions of gallons of water are wasted as it quickly drains away before the plant can take a drink.

Pesticide laden soils lack “the good guys” to keep microbial populations in balance.  Undesirable organisms such as fungus on strawberries take over.  All farmers can do is spray more poison.

The other casualties of spraying pesticides are losses of beneficial insects such as bees.   Pesticides are being named as a contributing factor to millions and millions of bee colony die offs around the world.
