Ricky Sinclair of Miracle Place Church Speaks On Same Sex Marriage

Homosexual relations have become more and more accepted over the years. Homosexuals say they are born that way and there is nothing they can do about it. The fact is that same sex relationships are unnatural in all areas. Natural law’s most elementary precept is that “good is to be done and pursued, and evil is to be avoided.” By his natural reason, man can perceive what is morally good or bad for him. Thus, he can know the end or purpose of each of his acts and how it is morally wrong to transform the means that help him accomplish an act into the act’s purpose. Any situation which institutionalizes the circumvention of the purpose of the sexual act violates natural law and the objective norm of morality. Same sex marriage deprives a child from its natural mother or father. A man cannot give the same as a mother and a woman cannot give the same as a father. It is in the child’s best interests that he be raised under the influence of his natural father and mother. This rule is confirmed by the evident difficulties faced by the many children who are orphans or are raised by a single parent, a relative, or a foster parent. Same sex marriage ignores the best interest of the child. Redefining marriage to eliminate either a mother or a father erodes its purpose of protecting children. Decades of research show that children not raised by their married biological parents (e.g., divorced, step-parent, cohabiting) "have, on average, twice the levels of risk, twice as many problems." Although there are few scientifically rigorous studies on the effects of same-sex parenting, recent studies of larger samples suggest similar cause for concern. Ricky Sinclair stands firmly on the belief and knowing that marriage is for one man and one woman. Anything outside of that is unnatural and against Biblical beliefs. Many times in the Bible it states on the importance of marriage and it always talks about man and woman. In fact Matthew 19:4-6 states Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh' ? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."

The fact is that without maintaining a standard for society we are allowing an "everything goes" concept to be in effect. Where is the line drawn? What will then be said about bigamy? Why settle for only one spouse when both spouses agree to allowing another partner into their lives? Obama said he changed his views on same sex marriage for political reasons and went from opposing to agree with same sex marriage. When we have a president that doesn't stand for conviction and only for popularity it is scary to imagine what else he will accept and who's popularity will he be seeking.  

Sinclair knows that without a standard and without conviction our society is headed for doom. Same sex marriage is just an outward showing of acceptance to sin. The unnatural union of man and man or woman and woman does nothing to benefit society or family. There is no new creation that comes from it only a sterile union. Children are neglected from their rights of having both a mother and father. It is the cutting edge of sexual revolution. If homosexual “marriage” is universally accepted as the present step in sexual “freedom,” what logical arguments can be used to stop the next steps of incest, pedophilia, bestiality, and other forms of unnatural behavior? Most importantly same sex marriage offends God. Whenever one goes against the natural and moral workings of God it is sin and sin offends God. Anyone who professes love for God must oppose same sex marriage.
