Feb. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Orlando, FL – Pangolin Laser Systems Inc. a world-leading manufacturer of software and hardware for the laser entertainment industry, was proud to take part in the 50th Year Anniversary Celebration of the University of Central Florida. Pangolin, a long time supporter of UCF and the College of Optics and Photonics, presented in front of both students and faculty at the CREOL facility, and gave an overview of laser entertainment, the applications it is used in, and how the technology has excelled over the past few years. In addition, Pangolin and long time partner Light Systems Design International (LSDI) put on a stunning graphical laser light show for those in attendance to enjoy.

The whole ceremony was conducted to help celebrate UCF’s 50th year as one of the nations leading educational institutions. The event was used as an opportunity to educate students studying in the optics and photonics field, on how laser technology is used in entertainment applications. In addition the ScannerMAX division of Pangolin Laser Systems Inc. also presented briefly about their new Saturn 5 Optical Scanner, which has great potential for both laser entertainment, industrial and biomedical laser applications. About Lighting Systems Design International (LSDI)

In 1983 a fascination with the ethereal beauty of laser light combined with a passion for high quality laser displays motivated Gregory Makhov to form Lighting Systems Design Inc. In his pursuit to be at the forefront of the entertainment laser display industry, Greg has shaped LSDI into one the most respected laser light show companies in the world, garnering awards for artistry and technical achievement along the way. Since the inception of laser light displays in the 1970’s lasers have become an increasingly popular tool for artists to express their visions. As a result audiences have become more sophisticated, yet the mystique of laser light has continued to tantalize audiences’ senses. Today, LSDI continues to lead by example with our dedication to the concept of Technology & Art for the New Millennium. Special event professionals and show producers are constantly searching for the “New Thing” to provide impact for their presentations or events. This has sometimes lead to the attitude of “Seen one laser show, seen them all.” However, by combining state-of-the-art laser technology with sophisticated laser artistry LSDI changes that attitude into “WOW! That was an incredible experience”. More information on LSDI can be found online at http://www.LSDI.com.
