By: G10-ECO Bill payers are now being faced with even more warnings of energy bill rises according to reports out today. Falls in Britain’s power production capacity are most likely going to lead to customers paying more for their energy bills G10-ECO, a Canary Wharf based company, discuss the options available to save £££. Predictions that power station closures are expected, a fall in capacity of as much as 10% by April could be expected. Older stations are being closed due to high amounts of pollution, at the same time renewable energy sources are still developing, meaning the UK will have to import as the amount of energy they will be producing will reduce– costing you, the bill payer more. “The answer is obvious to me, renewable energy, and energy saving options will be the most effective way to save money in the current economy” says Michael Ashaye, Managing Director of G10-ECO. The plan to close down ageing power stations has already begun, and so predictions of rising energy bills are very likely. Meanwhile the plans to build new energy efficient plants are ready but not yet in effect. In the short term it will be possible to import, however it will not last long as the cost will be coming from bill payers. “Working in the energy efficiency industry means that we have access to the best options and resources for bill payers to keep their costs down, without cutting down the amount of energy bill payers are using” says managing Director of G10-ECO Michael Ashaye. Long term solutions are desperately needed, to save energy and money, homeowners and bill payers will have to start looking into energy efficiency to keep costs as low as possible without costing them money to achieve. “There are initiatives in place to try and help, energy companies are offering free grants to help households as part of government initiatives” It is not just G10-ECO that is thinking about energy efficiency, the government have huge plans to help fix ‘leaky homes’ through energy efficiency. Once again, every bill payer and homeowner is likely to be affected, whether you are above or below the poverty line, the increase in energy bills is another reason to think we are no closer to the economy improving. If you haven’t already, the best time to get energy efficient is now. www.G10-ECO.com End
