Jolynn Carpenter starts her own film festival to move acting career forward
New York, February 18, 2013 - “I am following in the footsteps of some of my favorite actors, but in reverse. So many A-list actors own their own production companies and if they don’t own a film festival, they at least have a managing hand in one. I’m doing the same thing in reverse, owning a film festival now, opening my own production company within the next six months, and becoming an A-list actor from there,” says actor, CEO, and festival founder Jolynn Carpenter.
Carpenter started her corporation, New York International Awards, Inc., to manage Golden Egg Film Festival. The Festival will open May 20-25, 2013 at Tribeca Cinemas in NYC. She will also open Golden Egg Film Festival branches in London and Los Angeles towards the beginning of 2014,

Carpenter says, “I know that it takes years to build an acting career, but I’m not a very patient person. I’m willing to put in all the time it takes, but why not give it a kick-start?”
