The launch of a new homebuying service, YappYapp, is helping to make the dream of owning a house together become the reality for couples in the area. Already, newly engaged Sophie and Paddy have used YappYapp’s service to great success, having bought a ready-to-move-
The service is the brainchild of Alison Mackay, a woman with 30 years of property market experience who knows just how difficult it can be for young couples to gain that first rung on the property ladder: “I looked at the structure of the property market and thought: there’s nobody working for buyers. There’s nobody with the professional knowledge to honestly say ‘actually, that home isn’t worth that much’ or ‘this area would suit you best’, which is exactly what many young couples looking to buy their first homes together need.”
Alison appreciates the odds are stacked against first time homebuyers looking to negotiate a fair price for their dream property, and the launch of YappYapp looks to redress the balance, offering young couples the same kind of experience and support that estate agents provide for sellers.
Paddy says that Alison’s support didn’t end at helping them to negotiate a lower buying price on their home either. “We were new to South Shields, and whilst we were obviously very excited about buying our own place together, we were also a little apprehensive about finding all of the little things we’d need, like local shops, restaurants and a good gym. The team at YappYapp were all really friendly and helpful, and found us everything we needed. I’m really excited about treating Sophie to a romantic evening out one of the local restaurants just around the corner from our new home for Valentine’s.”
As well as helping love-struck couples and first-time buyers onto the property ladder, YappYapp also extends their Location, Location, Location styled service to singles, busy parents, and anyone seeking to make the process of buying a home less stressful and expensive.
