The 2nd Arctic Oil and Gas Conference, organised by ITE Group, will take place on 26 - 27 February 2013 at the Clarion Hotel in Stavanger, Norway.

The conference is a central meeting place for local and international oil and gas companies to meet and discuss new projects and opportunities in the offshore Arctic.

The Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Denis Khramov, will discuss the prospects and licensing policy of the Russian continental shelf; ongoing developments with the legal framework; tax incentives; exploration plans; and environment issues.

DNV will present updates on current Norwegian processes for opening new areas for petroleum activities in Jan Mayen and former disputed areas in the Barents Sea South. The 2 areas currently under study will also be examined.

Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada will discuss current offshore exploration activities in the Beaufot Sea; government regulatory developments; safety of future drilling operations, among other topics.
