Follow on Google News | Medical Missions Kenya Announces Its Next Trip to Serve Rural KenyansMedical Missions Kenya and Hunger Relief (MMK) and a group of volunteers will continue providing impoverished regions of Kenya with access to basic healthcare services during its second medical mission, which will take place May 27 - June 12, 2013.
By: The Arpan Group In December 2011, MMK’s first group of 12 volunteer doctors and nurses traveled to two underserved regions of Kenya, where they provided residents with access to basic health care services. The volunteers wholeheartedly embraced the mission and treated over 1,200 Kenyans during a two-week period. In addition to basic diagnosis and treatment, volunteers offered patients wellness training and tips on incorporating healthy habits into everyday life. Millicent Manyore, MMK founder, hopes to build on the first trip’s momentum and further expand on the organization’ Manyore urges doctors and nurses to consider volunteering their time for the upcoming medical mission June 2013.
