Jan. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- RIVERSIDE, Calif. – TriTech SBDC’s fourth annual funding conference, Funding The BIG Idea, will offer businesses and entrepreneurs the opportunity to interact with investors to find out what it takes to become “investor ready” on Thursday, March 28th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Municipal Auditorium, 3485 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside, CA 92501.

The TriTech event features The Best BIG Idea Competition for which entrepreneurs submit their written business ideas.  Out of those submissions, a small group of contestants are selected to pitch their ideas during The Best BIG Idea Competition.  Contestants then have the chance to win a $1000 prize for the BEST business idea.

Also, the event features TriTech’s premier “Speed Dating” program during which attendees can personally meet one on one and present their ideas to angel investors, venture capitalists, and private and public equity investors.  There will be two panel discussions during the event: “Raising Capital and Traversing the Funding Landscape,” where attendees will learn about the various sources of funding that are available for businesses today, and “Murphy’s Law - Anything that can go wrong will go wrong,” which gives attendees insight into what to expect as an entrepreneur, and lessons of how to roll with the punches from seasoned professionals.  To culminate the event, entrepreneurs and investors participate inside the Piranha Pool as four finalists from “Speed Dating” pitch their companies to a panel of judges consisting of four seasoned angel investors.

Pre-registration fee is $45, at the door $65, and $25 for students.  To register for “Speed Dating,” or to submit a written business idea to the “Best Big Idea Competition,” visit http://www.tritechsbdc.com/events.php.  Register to attend the event through Eventbrite @ http://ftbievent13.eventbrite.com.
