Detroit is taking another step in the growth of Michigan’s mobile / wireless technology industry with the launching of the first Mobile City iOS Conference produced by Develop Detroit and supported by MTAM

Jan. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- DETROIT, MI - On February 2nd Detroit will take another step in the growth of Michigan’s mobile / wireless technology industry with the launching of the first Mobile City iOS Conference produced by Develop Detroit and supported by MTAM. The event takes place at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and several hundred iOS developers and designers are expected to attend.

The event’s keynote address will be provided by Nir Eyal, a TechCrunch and Forbes contributor and writer of the well-known blog Nir and Far. He will also offer a full-day session on the psychology of mobile users and what makes for a truly ‘addictive’ mobile product.

In addition to the track on User Psychology, additional tracks offered will be:  Intro to iOS, iOS Design, and Advanced iOS Programming.

Speakers include representatives from Detroit-based Detroit Labs and Ann Arbor-based Arbormoon Software, as well as Daniel Steinberg, author of a best-selling iTunes book on iOS app development. Additionally, a lunch panel consisting of Nir Eyal, Jake Sigal (of Ferndale-based Livio Radio) and Mike Vichich (of Detroit-based Glyph) will explore steps to building a more vibrant tech community.

Tickets for the event are available via the event website at http://DetroitMobileCity.com at the rate of $149 general admission or $99 student admission. Tickets include lunch and parking. Discounted rates are available for groups of 10 or more.
