Emily O’Brien is a recent transplant to Chicago from New York, where she worked for the King’s County Administration for Children’s Services in Brooklyn and for a law firm focused on foster care, custody and adoption issues. About Emily O’Brien
Emily O’Brien has worked for over a decade exclusively in the field of family law. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she studied political science and worked for a number of political think tanks in Washington, D.C., including the World Wildlife Fund.

Emily obtained her juris doctorate from Tulane Law School in New Orleans. While still a student, she had her first fathers’ rights case, in which she worked to successfully appeal for the restoration of the parental rights of a father whose parenting privileges had been terminated without any legal authority.
