Retirement Planning 101: Adult-Education Class Registration Open, Make Informed Financial Decisions

Jan. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- (Marysville, CA)— Retirement Planning 101 Adult Education Course, presented by California Institute for Financial Literacy, begins in February.

Planning for retirement has become more challenging than ever. The CAIFL wants to ensure that retirement is attainable for all individuals. The community is invited to attend Retirement Planning 101, an adult-education course presented by CAIFL, starting February 19, 2013, at Yuba College, 2088 N. Beale Road Marysville, CA 95901.

The two-week course is taught by professionals from the legal, financial, and insurance industries and will address the most common financial planning concerns and pitfalls, while also providing valuable industry insights and tools that will allow students the ability to successfully create and maintain their own personalized retirement plan.

Retirement Planning 101 will consist of 4 instructional days, February 19, 21, 26 and 28.  

Attendees will learn how to:  
·         Get the most from Social Security

·         Understand Medi-Cal & Medicare Choices

·         Choose the right financial advisor

·         Best utilize CalPERS & CalSTRS

·         Evaluate and choose the right investments

·         Maximize returns and minimize risk
