Bedales student selected for Hampshire County Rugby and the London Irish Academy

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 18, 2013 - Bedales Block 3 (Year 9) student George Robson has secured a place in the Hampshire County U14 squad and the London Irish Elite Player Development Group after successful trials over the holidays. George played in a number of intense training sessions for the U14 team, focusing on the core skill elements of the London Irish Academy skills curriculum. Based on his performance, he was offered a place in the final Academy squad for the remainder of the season.

Bedales shares George’s delight in securing these team roles and believes in the importance of honing an individual’s talent and skills through the school’s ‘gifted and talented’ programme, which provides the opportunity for students to meet up and train with professionals throughout the year. The next workshop will be held with Pete Waterfield, the Team GB diver, who partnered Tom Daley at London 2012.
