Ms. Peggy Dodson of UBC-TV & Ms. Lynn Pingol of Unheard Voices spoke of the partnership between UBC-TV, Live Nation, Clear Channel and the Global Competition. Ms. Pingol explained that Unheard Voices is a modern day American Bandstand. The format will help break new recording artists on a global scale and can almost guarantee an explosion of record sales both nationally as well as Internationally.
Unheard Voices will air on multiple networks globally, including MTV and the UBC-TV Network, with new and past performances available on the website www.uvtvshow.com
Unheard Voices will be auditioning in the United States, while simultaneously holding auditions in 11 other countries, an unprecedented event. Each country will be represented by 4 winners - one in each category for male, female, duet or band, and judges selection. Forty-eight winners (12 in each of the categories) will qualify in the Semi-Final rounds and will perform in the Grand Finale Show in Las Vegas, NV. Unheard Voices will feature a celebrity host on the show and will also have a 5 celebrity judge panel at the live semi-finals and finale.
Some of the winning prizes will include a global recording contract and concert tour with Live Nation, 1 million+ dollars, distribution through major global distribution partners, worldwide online digital distribution contracts and more. UBC-TV then turned the attention to Mr. Don Sanchez, Owner & Head Coach of the ABA Basketball Team “L.A. Slam”, to announce the teams broadcast deal with UBC-TV. Mr. Sanchez explained how happy he was to have his next game broadcast and what that really meant for the whole ABA Basketball League. Accompanying Mr. Sanchez to the press conference was former American Gladiator “Red Sabre Williams”, who stated how much opportunity this joint venture will mean for urban communities and youth who don't make the NBA League.
The press conference was rapped up with a call in by Tony Burrell, Head of Mayweather Productions. He announced that UBC-TV is in discussions with Mayweather Productions. He spoke of the great things Mr. Mayweather is doing to help the youth in our inner cities.
The lineup and business model for this network is unprecedented. Some of the top sports programming including Mixed Martial Arts, will air on the UBC-TV Network along with great shows like The UBC MIX Dance Show: the evolution of Soul Train and American Bandstand, UBC WELLNESS and FITNESS TV, Style N Beauty Cafe, A Different Perspective, Urban Access, Cultural Traveler, City Vines, 'The Mosely's- The Fight Continues" and more.
