Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, LLP Hires Gregory S. Flannigan and Daniel L. Utz as Directors

Dec. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Greg Flannigan, CPA, has more than 15 years of public accounting experience, focusing on income tax compliance and consulting services to individuals, and large- and middle-market companies. He works with companies that are family-owned, private equity-owned and publicly owned in a wide range of industries, including construction and real estate, manufacturing, alternative energy, medical technology, professional services and software technology. Prior to joining Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, Flannigan was sole owner and managing member of Gregory S. Flannigan, CPA, LLC. Flannigan has also managed federal, state and international tax compliance and consulting with several national CPA firms.

Flannigan earned his bachelor’s from the University of Central Florida and his Master of Science in Taxation from the University of South Florida. He is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association–Minnesota Chapter, the Minneapolis Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, Hazeltine National Golf Club’s finance and membership committees, the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Dan Utz brings more than 12 years of public accounting experience to Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, focusing in audit and assurance. He served most recently as an assurance and advisory senior manager with a Big 4 accounting firm, where he managed the audits of domestic companies and their foreign subsidiaries in the manufacturing, consumer services, distribution, real estate, transportation and hospitality industries, owned variously by private equity groups, venture capital firms, and families.

Utz graduated from the University of St. Thomas, Saint Paul, Minnesota, with a bachelor’s in accounting. He is a member of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
