"Niki Owl, Leap of Faith" was officially presented to the public on Sunday, December 16th at The Last Bookstore in Downtown Los Angeles, and included reading excerpts from the book as well as a special guest performance by Spanish musician Rahe (http://www.musicbyrahe.com)
“‘Niki Owl’ brings a world filled with opportunities for personal growth and self awareness to all ages,” says Pinter. “The story is mixed with unbridled imagination and creative intelligence.”
Readers will join Niki as he sets off for Canadian skies; sure that he’s doing what he’s meant to do. Little does he know that all his new friends on the other side of the world will play a pivotal part in his new found positive perspective about life. Beautifully illustrated and told by Pinter, everything isn’t always rosy along the way; yet, through the eyes of one smart, little owl, it all eventually makes perfect sense.
The following review was posted on the official website for Niki Owl http://www.nikiowl.com:
“What a wonderful read. The moral lessons... reminded me of the fairy tales and folklore I read as a child. Stories like this aim to entertain and educate people through shared experiences. Niki Owl is a gem!” – Megan S.
An excerpt from “Niki Owl, Leap of Faith:”
Niki Owl stopped by Ryan’s molehill on his way home one morning to check in on him. His friend was especially perturbed on that occasion.
“How can you always be in such high spirits?” he asked Niki, with hints of anger.
“What is there to be in low spirits about?”
“Well, take yesterday for example. The rain was awful and depressing—there was no sunshine!” he fussed.
“Ryan, yesterday was yesterday. And more importantly, the sun is always here.”
“Where? I don’t see it!”
“The sun is wherever you want it to be,” Niki replied, lightly touching Ryan’s chest with the tip of his wing.
