Empowering Speech - Public Speaking Workshop In Los Angeles

Public Speaking Los Angeles is conducting a half-day workshop entitled Empowering Speech to allow working professionals acquire essential public speaking skills.
Dec. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Public Speaking Los Angeles is conducting a workshop entitled Empowering Speech to allow working professionals acquire essential public speaking skills. The workshop will be held January 5th, 2013 in Los Angeles.

This half-day workshop will begin at 12:30 PM and end  at 4:45 PM. The format of the class will be a small group of no more than 10 individuals to facilitate a comfortable, supportive environment for individuals seeking to address any challenges or develop their public speaking skills.

The workshop will be presented in two sessions by Professor Duane Smith. The first session will explore vital areas needed for a successful public speaking engagement such as, managing the fear of public speaking, audience analysis, proper preparation, how to structure your thoughts and information, how to achieve and sustain credibility, performance tips, and making the most of every speaking opportunity.

The second session will focus on using presentation aids such as MS PowerPoint for optimal communication effectiveness. The sole purpose of using presentation aids is to augment communication. However, all too often presentations are overly complicated and do nothing to enhance the message of the presenter. Even when slideshows are visually impressive, they fail to contribute to the communicative process.

As the principal of Public Speaking Los Angeles, Professor Duane Smith applies over 16 years as a professional speech coach to the success of his students. He has won numerous awards and gold medals for his leadership in National Public Speaking competitions.

The Empowering Speech Workshop will enable individuals of all professional levels to reach their full potential and deliver a speech or presentation with confidence and aplomb.
