PRLog - Dec. 3, 2012 - The Learning Source for Adults and Families, a local nonprofit organization working to educate Denver metro adults and families, recently hired Joshua D. Evans as its new Executive Director.

Evans has more than 12 years of diverse adult educational experience as an instructor, trainer and administrator in ESL (English as a Second Language), GED (General Educational Development)
A certified adult education instructor by the Colorado Department of Education and Learning to Achieve Trainer, Evans has a Master’s degree in Environmental Leadership from Naropa University in Boulder, where he also served as adjunct faculty. Evans also holds Bachelors of Arts degrees in English and Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, and spent three years as the Education Coordinator for the Jefferson County Probation Education Program.
“Josh has the commitment to adult education and the demonstrated leadership skills that make him a natural choice for this position,” says James E. Spoja, Board President of The Learning Source. “Demand for adult education is increasing, and we are very fortunate to have him join our organization.”
Evans and his family are Jefferson County residents. He is a marathon runner, member of the Association for the Study of Literature and the Environment, and a Board member of the Literacy Coalition of Colorado.
