Elvenking releases "ERA" to a worldwide audience

Nov. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Elvenking is a heavy metal band from Italy and has been an active part of the European music scene steadily building a massive fan-base performing all over Europe.

It began with the release of their debut CD in 2001 “Heathenreel”.  Since then they have been weaving their magical web of tales and fantasy and imagination through a plethora of CD’s such as:

Elvenking is proud to announce the release of their latest CD “ERA” which captures many different world music genre’s inclusive of their trademark metal/rock.  Since its release in September 2012, they have received rave reviews for their deep seeded powerhouse sound.  Singles such as “The Loser”, which has a video on Youtube has received over 50,000 views.  This single is about being a loser in other people’s eyes.  It is the opinion of the viewer and not a reality.  You need to be proud of who you are, no matter what anyone says or does.  This single’s intro shakes you heart into overdrive.  The drums, guitar, heavy bass and quick tempo electrify your very soul.  It is loud, amazing, and will knock you off your feet.  This single is representative of the power behind these magnificent musicians, but they aren’t set into one genre’.  Other amazing singles off this CD include folk/rock tunes such as “A Song for the People” which has an edgy Irish melody, so incredible it will mesmerize you from the very first note.  

Since the release of “The Winter Wake” in 2006, the band has experimented in many directions, exploring styles such as modern metal on “The Scythe”, acoustic folk on “Two Tragedy Poets” and even flirting with alternative rock with “Red Silent Tides”.   They continued to deliver new sounds, which keeps fans glued to their music.

Elvenking has played some of the biggest metal festivals in the world, such as ProgPower (USA), Sziget (Hungary), Bloodstock (UK) and Summer Breeze (Germany).  They have also toured with Savatage and Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s mastermind Jon Oliva in 2006, with Primal Fear in 2010 and with Rhapsody of Fire in 2012.

Elvenking is currently on tour promoting their latest (ERA” which will take them through Italy, Spain, Holland, Russia and many other countries around the world as well as the most important European summer festivals which will be announced at a later date.
