Nov. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Research Triangle Park, NC (November 19, 2012)—Agricultural biotechnology company BioResource International (BRI) has been recognized by the Triangle Business Journal as one of this year’s Fast 50 Award winners, which each year lists the 50 fastest-growing private companies in the Raleigh-Durham area. At the Awards Gala held November 15 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham, BRI ranked #35 on the list of Fast 50 companies selected, based on a formula that counts revenue growth and profitability in the preceding three years, as analyzed by Fast 50 Awards partner and accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.

BRI President and CEO Giles Shih said, “I am pleased to see BRI back on the Triangle Business Journal’s Fast 50 list after we first received the award in 2010. We know from experience just how hard it is to make it on the list multiple times, and I am impressed by the grit and tenacity of other companies on the Fast 50 list over the years. It is a testament to the quality and character of high-growth companies in the Triangle.”

“These winners represent organizations that have been champions of growth in the Triangle,” said Bryan Hamilton, publisher of the Triangle Business Journal, on the journal’s website (http://www.bizjournals.com/triangle/news/2012/09/25/fast-...). “These leaders are doing all they can to add jobs and inject cash into our community and we’re so thankful for it.” More information about and profiles of the 2012 Fast 50 Award winners can be found in the November 16 print edition of the Triangle Business Journal.

BRI is a global biotechnology company that offers cost-effective solutions to promote animal nutrition and environmental responsibility worldwide. One of its breakthrough products is Versazyme®, a novel enzyme that increases profitability and reduces the environmental impact of animal production by improving the digestibility of animal feed.
