Ryan Cassata releases "Oh, Alexis: Acoustic Sessions. Vol. 1"

Nov. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Ryan Cassata is a singer/songwriter and motivational speaker from Long Island, NY.  He plays guitar, piano, ukulele, harmonica and sings.  AT the age of 14, he began to perform at shows across Long Island.  Now just four years later, he has made over 300 appearances consisting of tour dates from coast to coast.  He has also released three CD’s prior to his most current release “Oh, Alexis: Acoustic Sessions. Vol. 1”.  

He has had many accolades and accomplishments worth noting which include but are not limited to:

He performed at the world’s largest gay music festival with artists such as Karmin, Salt N’ Pepa, Frenchie Davis, Chris Crocker, Tom Goss & others.  
He performed with The Click Five, Austin Gibbs, Jeff LeBlanc, Madina Lake and One Love
He is the founder of Artemendous Records/ROC Products, a record label he created to push his career to the next level while providing support to other local talent
He is the composer of the soundtrack for “Loop Planes”, an award-winning independent film that screened in the South By Southwest Film & Music Festival (2010), the Tribecca Film Festival (2010), the International Israel Women’s Film Festival (with The Runaways ) (2010) and over 40 other film festivals
He appeared on The Larry King Live Show (2009), the Tyra Banks Show (2010) for being a transgender individual
He travels the states speaking at high schools, colleges and conferences sharing his story with a mission to stop ignorance and bring peace to the world.
He became the youngest keynote speaker at the Philadelphia Trans-Health Conference of 2012
He appeared in Hamptons Bay Magazine (2008), Go Magazine (2008), Closer Magazine (2011), Pulse Magazine (2012) for his hard work and advocacy
In 2011 Ryan won the Harvey Milk Memorial Award for the path of equality he created within his high school and within his community

Ryan Cassata has a lot of passion for many things.  His conviction to what he dedicates his life to is admirable and honorable.  

In 2011 Ryan released “Distraction” EP, in 2011 he released “The Theme of Humankind”, in 2012 he released “The Rhythm” , all to great reviews.

Today, Ryan Cassata is proud to announce the release of “Oh, Alexis: Acoustic Sessions. Vol. 1” on December 12, 2012.  His single “Oh, Alexis” leads the way, which is the first song he wrote about his girlfriend.  The theme of this song is about long distance relationships and teenage love.    Using acoustic guitar brings a different perspective and perception of the song.  It is introspective with more of a slower rhythm.  His vocals are animated, emotional and full of character.  The simplistic union of vocals and acoustic guitar transcends to a beautifully arranged love song.  

“Oh, Alexis:  Acoustic Sessions, Vol. 1” is a descriptive journal and the songs are placed in chronological order as to when they were written.  They describe his story about his relationship.  This album was a request from his fans, taking him from to develop an acoustic based album that represented him when he played live.  It is raw, unblemished and unedited.
