During her 16-year career, Barger has negotiated sports marketing contracts with multiple universities, created marketing budgets for all of the company’s new properties, managed all corporate branding and advertising initiatives, launched the social media platform for the company’s entire housing portfolio, and managed third-party vendors. She will continue to perform all of these responsibilities, as well as assume increased visibility and participation at national trade conferences. Barger says that the company’s rapid growth in the student housing market poses many marketing challenges.
