International Networking Organization Inspires, Motivates & Connects Toronto Business Women

Nov. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Femfessionals, a networking organization with 40 chapters across the US, is making its international debut in Toronto with its launch connection event taking place at Noce Restaurant on Friday, December 7, 2012. There will be a draw for a free membership and Violette Sproul, founder and CEO of Femfessionals will be the guest speaker to share motivational business building tips.

Sproul launched Femfessionals in 2009 after recognizing a need for ambitious, professional women to not only connect with one another, but help each other both personally and professionally as they build their careers and contribute to their communities. Femfessionals is for women in all professions whether they are business owners, executives or recent graduates who are looking for support as they venture out into the business world.

"When I was approached to be President of FemCity Toronto I was actually looking for a group where I could form authentic relationships with other professional women." Says Caroline Pigott, President of FemCity Toronto. "There are other groups in the city that are doing amazing work but, unfortunately, none resonated with me. For me personally, walking into a room, throwing out a business card and seeing how many people I could pitch myself to wasn't working. Femfessionals is about creating a support network of women who will go out there and endorse your brand to the community and beyond. This is a remarkable business community and sisterhood I'm proud to be a part of."

Every month, FemCity Toronto hosts networking lunches and events for diverse groups of no more than 40 professional and ambitious women who look to make strategic connections to strengthen their business and social circle. At each lunch, women are strongly encouraged to pitch their “brand” and interact in a positive and uplifting environment. They are also treated to seminars targeted at educating attendees on current business trends and inspirational workshops featuring by some of the most professional women and iconic women in our City.
