University of Houston Graduate Launches Service to Support Non-profits

Houston - Brittany N. Bluford, University of Houston graduate and entrepreneur, offers writing and social media services to local businesses, and a portion of all profits will benefit a non-profit organization.

The Jack J. Valenti School of Communication graduate launches her creative services after being faced with the decision to become a freelance writer or start a non-profit organization. She has merged her two passions and is using her public relations background to offer a service that benefits local businesses and non-profits.

“After losing a friend to renal medullary carcinoma, I wanted to start a non-profit organization. I also wanted to stay in the public relations field. The solution for me was to write for a cause.” Bluford said.

Brittany N. Bluford hopes that local business owners will share her passion for non-profit organizations and see the partnership as a way to connect with their consumers and make a difference in the Houston community.
