Paschal is an award winning songwriter and producer who has collaborated with many well-known pop and contemporary artists in the music industry.  He lived in the Los Angeles area from 1985-1991 and carries an impressive 25 years of experience in the music production and songwriting business.  In 1991, he began writing songs for Barry White and in 1997 co-wrote “Staying Power” and “Slow Your Roll” for his 1998 album with the same title.  

The album “Staying Power” earned Barry White two Grammys; one for Best R & B Male Solo and the second for Best Traditional R & B Vocal Performance.  These were the only two awards that were given to him in his career.  

Joey L. Paschal explored many aspects of the entertainment industry including commercials and other creative avenues that would utilize his creative and innovative songwriting style.

1999 -   Co Writer on the single "Staying Power" performed by Barry White that was featured on the Fox Network "Alley McBeal Show" (television) & the Debut single of his last Original Album (Staying Power-Private Music)(Certified Gold)
1999 -   "Staying Power" won Grammy Awards for Best R&B Male Vocal Solo and Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance (Barry Whites' first and only Grammy Awards of his historic career)
