Community Dance and Movement Open House hosted by GuiDANCE Autism

Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Sharing in the essence of bringing the joy of dance to children with special needs.

What better way to spend a beautiful Saturday morning than to build community and celebrate in the art of dance with some extraordinary children. It is all happening this Saturday, November 10, 2012 where GuiDANCE Autism (http://www.guidanceautism.com) will host a Community Dance and Movement Open House at the American National Dance Academy of Performing Arts located at 10944 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, CA  91604 from 10 a.m.-12p.m.  

There will be a meet and greet from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  with an opportunity to engage with Founder, Dance Therapist, Actress and Philanthropist Kerisse Hutchinson.  The grand dance class with the children of GuiDANCE Autism will start promptly at 11:00 a.m.  GuiDANCE Autism, Inc. was developed to expose children with special needs, including siblings and families, to the arts and creative expression normally only available to typically-able children. GuiDANCE Autism incorporates a guided hands-on, modeling, and cue based approach utilizing strengthening and stretching exercises, body isolations, floor exercises, relaxation and touch therapy techniques, aromatherapy, repetition, individual and partnering movement combinations, and free expression--all to invigorating rhythmic music. Refreshments will be served.
