Recovering From Hurricane Sandy

Nov. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- At Corner Property Management we have taken all the steps to protect the Association’s regarding any potential insurance claims.  Below is some information concerning steps to be undertaken with regard to any insurance claims that may have to file by yourself or family.

Please be advised that you should place your insurance company on notice of any emergency damage caused by the Hurricane, if you intend to file a claim for same. Further, you should fully document any damages and attempt to obtain the insurance companies approval prior to performing any repairs that were necessitated by the Hurricane, if possible.  Prompt notice must be provided to the insurance company to avoid the insurance company from attempting to deny the claim based on purported late notice.  

In addition, please be advised that with regard to any claims, the insurance company is not entitled to charge the Association or you yourself an insurance deductible since Governor Christie has declared that insurers are not entitled to charge any "hurricane insurance deductibles.
