Hartman Leito & Bolt (HLB) Appoints Director of Litigation Support and Forensic Services

Oct. 31, 2012 - PRLog -- Hartman Leito & Bolt, LLP (http://www.hlbllp.com/) (HLB), a full-service accounting and consulting firm, is proud to announce Alan Nelson as director of litigation support and forensic services. In this newly created role, Nelson will lead HLB’s litigation support, forensic and investigative accounting, and computer forensics technology consulting services. Nelson is based out of HLB’s Dallas office.

HLB’s litigation support and forensic accounting services include assisting counsel in conducting internal investigations where there are allegations of wrongdoing, utilizing investigative tools and technology to perform link analysis techniques when business and financial records are missing, performing computer forensic examinations, such as acquisition of digital evidence, analysis and scrutiny of digital media, to ascertain the existence of improper conduct, and more.

Prior to his appointment as director at HLB, Nelson served as a senior manager at Weaver, where he provided forensic accounting services to law firms and their clients. Before Weaver, Nelson was a shareholder at Brown & Nelson, P.C., where he led investigative accounting services, such as internal and external investigations, healthcare fraud and transaction analysis, among others.

Nelson earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Michigan University and is a certified public accountant in Texas.  In addition, Nelson holds a certification in financial forensics, and he maintains memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Professional Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
