Via Response Selected for Start-up Alley at Educause

Oct. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Orlando, FL – (October 30, 2012) - Via Response, an emerging leader in  cloud-based student response platform for engaged learning, announced today its selection as a Startup-Alley presenting company at the upcoming 2012 Educause conference taking place November 6-9.  Via Response was one of only twenty-five companies selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants to participate in this year’s Start-up Alley. In addition, Via Response will compete against nine other Startup-Alley companies in Educause’s Game Changer’s Business Competition.

Educause’s Startup-Alley is highly competitive showcase for technology startups on the forefront of innovation in higher education IT. Via Response plans to showcase its cloud-based student response platform, projected to be a replacement technology for “clickers” in college and university classrooms. By bringing the digital generation into the classroom, instructors can keep students engaged by communicating through devices they use every such as mobile phones, tablets and laptops.

Via Response will compete in the Game Changers Business Competition November 7, 2012. The competition will consist of a short presentation to a panel of expert investors and conference attendees. The panel will judge the ten Game Changer participants on how well they applied technology to help to solve or improve higher education IT, in addition to criteria such as scalability, fiscal strength and size of market opportunity.  The winners will be selected and announced the morning of November 8, 2012.
