PRLog - Oct. 30, 2012 - DALLAS -- Dr. Rick Wallace, Dean of the School for the Ministry of Health and Wellness at A.R.O.H. Theological Seminary & International School of Divinity, and Founder & President of Stay Fit Fitness and Training and Master Fitness 21, announced the launch of VTX-12, a new program designed to provide virtual fitness training and coaching to many who can’t afford a personal trainer or those who’s schedule makes it difficult to use the services of a personal trainer.
Dr. Rick Wallace
In May of 2012, Dr. Wallace launched The National Campaign against Obesity. He had become alarmed at the exponential growth of the epidemic of Obesity internationally, but especially here in the US. Although Dr. Wallace’s primary focus is in Christian ministry, he has an extensive background in Health, Fitness, and Wellness. Dr. Wallace believes that teaching believers how to properly take care of their bodies is a part of ministry as well.
Dr. Wallace issued the following statement:
“I am totally blown away by the manner in which this disease has exploded into the deadly epidemic it is now. What has perplexed me even more is the fact that so many Americans, especially believers have become totally indifferent to the deadly force of this epidemic. God told Hosea, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” This truth is not limited to spiritual knowledge, but it extends into what needs to be common knowledge. Americans are placing themselves at risk for heart disease, cancer, hypertension, osteoarthritis, gall bladder disease, and so much more because they refuse to acknowledge the seriousness of this plague. I launched the National Campaign against Obesity to educate believers and non-believers alike that they are literally killing themselves through their poor lifestyles.
After launching the National Campaign against Obesity, I noticed that there was an enormous disparity between those that could afford to take part in assistive programs and those that could not. Although having a personal trainer would be the ideal situation, not everyone can afford that. So, I design VTX-12, the virtual training system that combines proper nutrition, client specific fitness training, online accountability and support system, and a personal coach. This program is available at a fraction of the cost of a personal trainer and nutritionist. The goal is to get financial backing to make it accessible to all.”
Through Master Fitness 21, Dr. Wallace has been developing strategies to assist those that are struggling to lose weight as well as educate others that may not understand the seriousness of the disease. His hopes are that along with other programs like the one First Lady Michelle Obama has underway, The National Campaign against Obesity will influence an entire culture to experience lifestyle change.
Dr. Wallace and the people at Master Fitness 21 have also initiated a comprehensive fitness training network of personal training experts in numerous geographical locations in order facilitate all who want to take advantage of the program.
