Canada U.S. Business Association – To Host Governor Rick Snyder


Windsor-Detroit (October 19, 2012) – Canada-United States Business Association (CUSBA) a non-profit, non-partisan, issues oriented business association formed in 1992 is hosting Governor Rick Snyder of the State of Michigan at a Town Hall Luncheon on Monday October 22, 2012. Governor Rick Snyder will be speaking at the 2012 Signature Event for CUSBA at the Westin Book Cadillac, 1114 Washington Blvd., Detroit Michigan on:  

The New International Trade Crossing (NITC).

The State of Michigan and Canada shared $ 70 Billion in two-way trade in 2011 and more than 237,000 Michigan jobs are directly tied to trade with Canada. Supporters of The New International trade Crossing with 6 traffic lanes for cars and trucks include: the current and past 4 Governors of the State of Michigan, 5 key Automotive Manufacturers, 18 Local Chamber of Commerce’s in Michigan, as well as the Windsor Essex, the Ontario, the Canadian and U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s, 14 separate news publications, 6 Agri-business associations, 68 national and international corporations, 22 leaders in government, 9 unions and 35 business associations and community organizations across the U.S. and Canada.

Governor Snyder’s Luncheon discussion on October 22, 2012 on “The New International Trade Crossing” will reinforce the message of just how important the construction of the new bridge is for the State of Michigan, the Province of Ontario and trade between Canada and the U.S.  

As an international business association “CUSBA’s Goal is to become the premier voice of cross-border businesses and to promote the common business interests of Canada and the U.S.,” said Board President Mark High of Dickinson Wright PLLC.
