New Force for Positive Change as Coachworks Secures Services of Industry Expert

Oct. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Coachworks Consulting has secured the support of one of the industry’s most knowledgeable personalities to help retailers improve every single part of their business.

Coachworks is teaming up with Simon Parker and his newly-formed company Motor Trade Consulting UK (MTCUK).

Simon will be familiar to many readers, having been in and around the automotive industry for more than 25 years with manufacturers, retailers, ancilliary suppliers and funding providers.

He has extensive experience, especially on the financial and analytical side of the sector, with brands including Toyota, Volvo and Lexus.

Karl Davis, Managing Director of Coachworks, said: “We’re really excited about this development. I’ve known Simon for a long time and I have the utmost respect for him as a person and as one of the most knowledgeable people in the industry.

“Simon’s decision to share his wealth of experience by moving into consultancy is a natural step for such a talented professional. He is one of the very few people in this industry who can analyse finances in forensic detail and then link those findings to practical implications and performance improvement.

“We’re very happy to be partnering with him and MTCUK and we will be launching our first initiative in Q4 of this year.

“We can’t give out details yet, but it will offer Dealer Principals unprecedented access to techniques that have the potential to transform businesses from top to bottom.”

Coachworks has been delivering business improvement programmes to the automotive industry for 10 years, and customers include manufacturers and dealer groups across the UK.

Karl added: “Simon is a fresh alternative to some of the old-time analysts. With his original and in-depth approach to finance and analysis and our expertise at culture change, we can help customers transform every part of their business.”

Simon and Karl first worked together as Field Managers with Volvo in the 1990s.

Simon said: “After that we were both involved at Lexus GB when the fledgling Lexus network was being set up.

“When I was responsible for business management at Toyota I took on Coachworks to run the Coach for Growth programme which concentrated on improving leadership in every department. Then as Finance Director at a regional group, I brought in Coachworks to deliver Plan for Growth – a programme that showed retailers how to achieve the figures in their business plans by focussing on people, marketing and operations.

“I have first hand experience of the difference Coachworks makes, and I’m really excited that MTCUK will be adding its expertise to the team there.”
