The Rat Pack of Hollywood: Making the Band and The Rat Pack of Hollywood First Concert in Space

Hollywood, CA - Newly formed publisher, Mr. Brick Publishing announces the release of two new children’s picture books; The Rat Pack of Hollywood: Making the Band (ISBN 978-0-615-62511-9) and The Rat Pack of Hollywood First Concert in Space (ISBN 978-0-9882523-1-8), marking the vanity publisher’s debut into the world of children’s entertainment. Both titles are 32-page, hard cover picture books written & illustrated by Michael Houbrick.  

The Rat Pack of Hollywood (TRPOH) is the new animated children’s brand created by former Hollywood talent agent, Michael Houbrick. The TRPOH property is about a pack of celebrity, anthropomorphic rats from Hollywood that form a band and travel around the world in their short, yellow tour bus that has a hunk of cheese on top. The rats want to become the biggest band in the universe. The celebrity rats are able to use their superstar status to stop and help others along the way. “I represented a great deal of celebrities while I was a Hollywood talent agent,” stated TRPOH creator Michael Houbrick, “It was amazing at how a celebrity’s action can make a lasting impression on their fans. Unfortunately, that impression was not always a good one.” Houbrick, who is also called, The Big Cheese, guarantees that although his likeable little rats are indeed celebrities they will never need rehab, they won’t throw temper tantrums, they won’t go on strike for more money (cheese maybe, but not money), and you won’t see them in magazines without their clothes on.

Mr. Brick Publishing kicked off the brand with the very successful, “The Rat Pack of Hollywood 2013 Foodie Calendar.” Since all rats are foodie’s by association, the colorful wall calendar features the TRPOH characters, creatively celebrates a national food holiday all 365 days. Each month is also highlights the special observance of a special food month long celebration. For example, May 15 is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, March 25 is National Waffle Day, September 12 is National Chocolate Milkshake Day, etc. One additional TRPOH picture books are slated for release by the end of 2012.
