“ We are determined to economically empower fans beginning with "Black Mozart" and continuing with other works created by Futureman, now managed under the distribution category we refer to as “fan royalty” said de Lugo. “Last year , three beta platforms were tested in search of one that would deliver quality HD streaming VOD rentals & downloads that also integrated a user-friendly mechanism to offer affiliate revenue sharing. Distrify, based in Scotland, proved to be exactly what we had hoped for .” Like many Independent (Indie) artists, Futureman relies on the rich collaborative contributions of everyone involved, now taking that one step further to include the fans in a revenue share of sales paid directly to fans.

A simple website, Black Mozart Ensemble,(see http://blackmozartensemble.com ) has been launched that Futureman and de Lugo are managing personally and business consultant Umar Bey will be overseeing. This would not be a truly Indie experiment if the entire process could not be started with little to no financial investment, though that also means they have faced some challenges during the learning curve. “Roy has been out on tour with Jeff Coffin, so I sent him the new website design via his cell phone to approve. We both laughed when he got a 404 error message and wasn't able to access the website. I spent hours trying to figure out how to resolve that in time for his announcement at the River Rocks festival, and thankfully he just calmly rolled with it and said, “it’s all a process. Just the fact that we got it launched is a triumph! ”, explained de Lugo.
As with the content, the delivery itself is a customized creation based on an artist’s vision and a dedicated team determined to bring it to life. Futureman is well known as a 5-Time Grammy winner with Bela’ Fleck & The Flecktones, and as an inventor of both the Drumitar and the Royel piano. Bringing evolutionary visions to life earned him the name, “Futureman”
