The way it works is this that for every test drive taken in October, Sunrise Chevrolet will donate $10 to the cause. This is a great, easy way for drivers in the area to make a difference — all while shopping for their next vehicle! Donations are also accepted through their page on the American Cancer Society’s website — Sunrise Chevrolet has only reached about 20% of their goal, and they need help to hit their target!
Sunrise Chevrolet is also a proud supporter of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Program, and is one of the proud sponsors of the event in DuPage County, Illinois. It will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2012 a 1S151 Road in Wheaton at 9 am. Registration is $25 per participant before the day of the event, and $30 for same-day registration.
The Making Strides program is designed not only to bring communities together to honor survivors of breast cancer, but also serves as a powerful way to raise awareness. The program has a venerable legacy, having raised over $460 million by way of 8 million participants since 1993, with over $60 million was raised last year alone. It’s not just money, though: since the inception of the program two decades prior, breast cancer death rates have dropped by over 32%. This is the tangible result of communities across the country coming together.
Sunrise Chevrolet is honored to support this event, just as they’re honored to serve drivers throughout the Chicagoland area. Drivers can visit their dealership in Glendale Heights to take a test drive of one of their vehicle, to receive maintenance and repair services, or to learn more about their charitable efforts.
