Running on a platform of “People Over Politics” and strong traditional liberal values, Lionell Spruill, Jr. has been a reliable Democrat for over 25 years. He is an active Christian and dedicated contributor to the community in Norfolk, VA. He is an active member of the 200 Plus Men, former Board of Director’s member for the Norfolk Federal Credit Union and a National Spokesman for Mentoring.org. As a former U.S. Marine and decorated Gulf War Veteran, he is currently serving as a U.S. Naval Reserve Officer. Mr. Spruill is a member of the Norfolk State University committee for the March of Dimes, a member of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy and he is also a Political Action Chairman for the Norfolk Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Lionell works tirelessly on numerous boards and committees to continue his desire to serve and help people.
Lionell Spruill, Jr. has a broad educational background; he attended Norfolk State University, William Howard Taft School of Law, Saint Leo University Master of Business Administration Program and The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute of Virginia Commonwealth University.
