Dave Matthews Band announces winter 2012 North America tour

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 7, 2012 - Dave Matthews Band has announced their winter 2012 touring dates for North America. The rock band who formed in Charlottesville, Virginia have recently shot to fame as their songs begin to captivate the listeners. The band started as Dave Matthews himself finally decided to record and play the songs he wrote back in 1991. The band currently consists of Dave Matthews on the guitar, Boyd Tinsley on the violin, Carter Beauford on drums, Steffan Lessard on base, Tim Raynolds, Reshawn Ross and Jeff Coffin on the Saxophone. Every year, they tour the United States and European countries, mostly performing at College campuses. Because of their frequent touring, they have made an impact on the lives of many, as they continue to get recognition for their great songs. Between 2000 and 2009, Dave Matthews Band has sold a total of 11.2 million tickets which gave them gross sales of over $61 million.

Their 2012 North American Winter tour will see the band performing 14 shows in total, over three weeks. Their tour will be aimed at promoting and supporting their most recent studio album, "Away From The World". Their eighth album was released on September 11 2012 via RCA Records. Upon release, the album noticed tremendous success as it shot to the top of the U.S. Billboard 200 charts almost immediately. If you're a Warehouse fan club member, you'll be glad to know that you'll be able to snap up pre-sale tickets on October 4 at 10 a.m. Citi card members can get their pre-sale tickets starting October 15 at 12 p.m. The general public will be able to purchase tickets on October 19 at 10 a.m.
