Oct. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- The new Camp/Adventure Activity Provider accreditation was launched by Andrew McGuckian, President of the Australian Camps Association (ACA), at the ACA Annual conference yesterday, Tuesday 2nd of October.

The Camp/Adventure Activity Provider Accreditation is a merger of the previous Camping with Confidence program into the Australian Tourism Accreditation Program (ATAP) and is designed for any business that works within the camp and/or adventure activity industries.

The new program, which has gained endorsement from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD), provides recognition to those businesses that have met industry standards within the sector.

Andrew McGuckian said that the ACA is pleased to be a part of this development for the industry “We are very excited about the offering that can now be provided to Camp and Adventure Activity operators through the online program. Not only will this enable the businesses to have a less labour intensive process when completing their accreditation, but it also creates a greater avenue in which they can get access to further business development support”.

Ian Nicolson, Executive Officer for ATAP, was also delighted by the development, “This will be a win for operators as it will give camp and adventure activity providers access to the leading online accreditation program in Australia as well as T-QUAL branding. For ATAP it represents a significant addition to the 3000 plus businesses directly accredited under the ATAP banner”.

This new program will be wholly managed by ATAP but will continue to seek the expertise of the ACA in its continued development. ATAP is a national accreditation program that has met both the national industry accreditation standards set by Tourism Accreditation Australia Ltd and the Commonwealth accreditation standards set by T-QUAL.
